Quality Inspector - Full Benefits - Long Term Opportunity! (1st and 2nd shift)

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to inspect welded parts using calipers, micrometers, and CMM according to blueprint specifications. The role also involves testing assembled products, creating inspection check sheets, and issuing rework orders. Over time, there is an opportunity to advance into a leadership position and train other employees. Inspection is done on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and drawings to understand specifications and tolerances for parts

• to be inspected.

• Visually inspects and measures parts and incoming materials using a variety of hard

• gauges, hand tools, and other appropriate tools & equipment to determine

• whether parts conform to specifications. Parts may be inspected in receiving,

• in-process, and in final inspection.

• Completes and submits required inspection documentation, labels, and electronic

• transactions.

• Suggests improvements to inspection processes and methods.

• Work with cross functional teams and communicate quality standards and expectations

• clearly.

• Assisting with meeting goals related to quality, cost, and delivery.

• Always operates in compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Committed to the organizations’ quality policy and customer satisfaction

• Perform other duties as required.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standards.

• Experience using calipers, micrometers, welding gauges, and miscellaneous inspection tools.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.

• Experience with reviewing weld procedures for compliance against welding codes and standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00
