Description

We are in search of a meticulous and analytical Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in FARMINGTON, New Mexico. The role entails financial data collection, analysis, and reporting, as well as process improvement and training material creation within the Healthcare industry. You will also be in charge of asset accounting and records and play a significant role in budget preparation and financial audits.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyze, and report financial and operational data to aid in decision-making and meet internal and external reporting requirements

• Contribute to, initiate, or lead process improvement projects within the Financial Services department

• Gain comprehensive knowledge of the Workday ERP system and utilize it to enhance current processes

• Maintain the accounting and records of all entity assets and perform asset assignment and audits

• Develop training materials for financial processes for the Finance Department and external stakeholders

• Prepare periodic financial statements and monthly financial dashboards

• Review contractual and bad debt reserves periodically with the Department Leadership

• Prepare selected journal entries for the general ledger and assist in closing each accounting period and year

• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and serve as the lead contact during financial audits

• Recommend and implement new or modified processes for accurate financial and statistical reporting

• Understand and function as the backup for other Finance Department functions when necessary

Requirements • The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Financial Analyst.

• Proficiency in financial analysis, financial analytics, and financial modeling is essential.

• Experience in budget processes, expense reporting, and accounting functions is required.

• The candidate should be knowledgeable in CapEx and data mining techniques.

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must.

• The candidate should be able to provide decision support and engage in ad hoc financial analysis.

• Forecasting & modeling skills are important for this role.

• The candidate should have a deep understanding of finance.

• The candidate must be able to work independently and also collaborate effectively with a team.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.

• The candidate should be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for financial modeling and analysis.

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field is required, a Master's degree or professional certifications such as CFA or CPA is preferred.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role.

• The candidate should have a good understanding of financial regulations and standards.

• The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion is required.
