Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, storing materials within the warehouse, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, verifying delivery quantities and merchandise serial numbers, completing customer orders, and preparing shipments. This role involves physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and stacking materials, as well as operating material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for discrepancies and damage, reporting any issues promptly.

• Store materials and supplies within the warehouse according to part number and/or description.

• Load and unload delivery vehicles, including operating fork trucks and stocking merchandise in appropriate areas.

• Verify quantities of deliveries and merchandise serial numbers by comparing them to packing slips.

• Visually inspect deliveries for damage and notify management of any discrepancies.

• Complete customer orders by obtaining appropriate material from storage in accordance with the picking ticket.

• Prepare shipments by boxing materials, labeling with appropriate shipping information, and completing necessary paperwork.

Work Environment

Loud work environment with climate control. Shift hours are Monday-Wednesday from 6am to 3:30pm, Thursday from 7am to 3:30pm, and Friday from 7am to 12pm (half-day).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmington, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
