Lockheed Martin’s SOF GLSS Team, the leading provider of a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services is seeking a Central Utility Plant Maintenance Operator to join the SOF GLSS team in Fayetteville, NC. The candidate will perform classified duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups and must provide subject matter expertise in central utility plant maintenance.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Central Utility Plant Maintenance Operator your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Job Title: Central Utility Plant Maintenance Operator

• Location: Ft. Liberty, NC

• Performs repairs, maintenance, adjustments, modifications, inspections, and preventive maintenance on:

• Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems

• Refrigeration systems

• Plumbing

• Pipe-fitting

• Electrical wiring systems

• Serves as operator and repairman of the facility utility plant with shift responsibility on a regular and recurring basis

• Maintains all utility systems and computers with controls, taking actions to shut down and bring up systems as necessary

• Anticipates Power Plant equipment repair, maintenance, installation, and facilities maintenance requirements, including:

• Heating

• Ventilation

• Air conditioning

• Plumbing

• Pipe-fitting

• Welding

• Electrical wiring.

This position is located in Fayetteville, NC Discover Fayetteville

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have expert knowledge and understanding in reading and executing Engineering drawings and specifications for the existing equipment and new equipment installation.

Must have expert knowledge about electrical and mechanical upgrades available on the market. Demonstrates independent modifications to existing and new equipment.

Conducts independent market research for proper equipment type, energy efficiency/security, and budget information required for final purchase of equipment.

Routinely provides independent solutions to time sensitive mission requirements.

Proficient/Expert on DOD and Military training and equipment requirements in a unique environment.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
