About the Position

The IT Support Specialist will provide end user and operating system support for the Fayetteville, NC plant. Providing excellent customer service, technical support of both the Windows and Linux environments, and solutioning cyber security remediation will be key to the success in this role. Joining an existing team, you will jump in as need to provide additional support to our IT environment.

General Responsibilities

  • Create, delete, and maintain user accounts. Configuration, implementation, and maintenance of storage file system structures.

  • Use monitoring tools to assess system performance. May review system log files to analyze trends and/or problems.

  • Will be required to support basic level operating system administrative functions. Troubleshoot basic problems and recommend appropriate actions. Document standard operating system/hardware processes and procedures.

  • May be required to support backup/restore operational issues or be involved with the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of operating systems. Testing and implementation of operating system upgrades and patches.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in IT or related.

  • 2 or more years of experience in Information Technology or in lieu of degree 7+ years of experience.

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • General knowledge of information technology and basic troubleshooting and problem determination skills
