This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial controls and reporting by overseeing and collaborate with project teams and grant compliance process. This position requires a highly organized, enthusiastic, innovative, team-oriented professional that can foster positive relationships within the organization and external parties.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for all tax forecasting in the company’s forecasting system.

• Interpret and communicate existing and developing tax laws, rules and regulations to management.

• Provide tax information for preparation of Cost-of-Service Study, regulatory jurisdiction reports and rate cases.

• Collaborate with project teams to determine tax impacts of large capital projects, including applicability of tax incentives.

• Collaborate with internal and external experts regarding compliance requirements for tax incentives including those under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting or associates degree with equivalent work experience. CPA Certification preferred.

• Knowledge of accounting principles, primarily understanding of tax accounting methods.

• Must understand tax provision process and have a strong understanding of forecasting future tax impacts.

• Familiarity with Federal and State income tax law and Internal Revenue Code.

• Efficient, comprehensive learner, who is coachable and works well independently and in a team environment.

• Successful candidate will have a problem solving, solutions-oriented mindset.
