Warehouse Forklift Operator

Position Overview: The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing freight efficiently and safely. This role involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Primary Duties:

  • Material Handling:

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other hand trucks.

  • Unload inbound trucks and containers, sorting items by hand and with forklifts as needed.

  • Pick, wrap, label, and stage orders for shipment.

  • Documentation:

  • Complete necessary paperwork for shipping and receiving.

  • Perform cycle counts and document relocations of products.

  • Equipment Maintenance:

  • Inspect and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment.

  • Warehouse Maintenance:

  • Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse, including picking up garbage, sweeping floors, and keeping aisles clear of debris.

  • Ensure outside grounds are tidy.

  • Safety and Compliance:

  • Identify and address safety hazards in the workplace.

  • Adhere to quality and customer service standards set by the company.

  • Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Education:

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.

  • Proficient in basic mathematics.

  • Knowledge of material handling equipment is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations.

  • High regard for safety in the workplace.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Required Licenses and Experience:

  • Licenses:

  • Forklift certification required.

  • Experience:

  • 2 years of forklift experience preferred.

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

  • Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
