The University of Findlay DEPUTY CIVIL RIGHTS/TITLE IX COORDINATOR; PREVENTION EDUCATION COORDINATOR in Findlay, Ohio

The University of Findlay (www.findlay.edu{rel="nofollow"}) is seeking a full-time Deputy Civil Rights/Title IX Coordinator; Prevention Education Coordinator, responsible for assisting with institutional compliance with federal and state discrimination and harassment laws including Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization of 2013 ("VAWA"), the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act ("Campus SaVE"), and other related federal and state laws. The Deputy Coordinator plans, directs, and coordinates the University's Equity and Title IX prevention programs and services. The Deputy Coordinator will assist the Assistance & Care Team for Support (UF ACTS) with case management for students of concern.

The Deputy Coordinator will possess a well-developed familiarity and commitment to student development philosophy of education as well as possess beliefs supportive of and compatible with the principles of the mission statement and goals of the University of Findlay.

A bachelor's degree is required, a master's degree is preferred, with two or more years of experience within Civil Rights/Title IX policy administration. The candidate must possess knowledge of and experience with personnel management techniques, general business practices, programming techniques, counseling, staff development and supervision; strong oral/written communication skills; and familiarity with MS Office, Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook, Facebook and Canva or Adobe are essential.

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area travel may be expected.  A valid US Drivers' license with a safe driving record is required.
