Job Overview:

APTIM is looking for a Warehouseman to work in our warehouse. The position will verify all shipping / receiving materials and assist with other shop needs, as well as cleaning.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Verify material received matches packing slip and order.

  • Scan all packing slips to materials manager as soon as items are received.

  • Put all material away in a timely manner in the proper locations.

  • Receive UPS / FEDEX / Van / Flatbed deliveries and distribute packages accordingly.

  • When issued project pull sheets, pull the parts from inventory in timely manner, tag and place in the appropriate location.

  • Make sure material being pulled is issued to the proper project.

  • Perform inventory counts on a regular basisArrange for shipping via FEDEX, FEDEX Freight, LTL or flatbed truck .

  • Check with supervisors for missing parts for projects .

  • Check with shop to set up and verify completion of work orders.

  • Check floor stock bins every other day to verify sufficient supply is available. If not, work with purchasing to order more.

  • Tend to material needs by shop employees.

  • As time allows, organize inventory areas and clean storage areas.

  • As time allows, assist the shop with cutting parts, assembling systems.

  • Check email/phone periodically throughout the day.

  • Use Microsoft Excel to update receipt of project specific parts for purchase orders and project order forms and generate shipping manifests.

  • Use of Microsoft Word to generate shipping rate quote request

  • Communicate with Engineering, Project Managers and production using Microsoft Teams and Outlook

  • Enter time daily in an electronic timesheet

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.

  • Must have a valid driver's license, including ability to meet APTIM requirements for driving company vehicles. May occasionally have to pick up parts from locations away from the fabrication facility .

  • Knowledge of JDE E1 ERP system.

  • Ability to use a forklift to load and unload inbound and outbound materials and equipment.

  • Minimum of High School Diploma

  • Prefer 1 year manufacturing experience
