TEKsystems Collections Representative in Fishers, Indiana

Description:

Person will collect on accounts mostly from 15-20 days past due to start, and move into longer past dues. Most of the time they are calling members that forgot to pay, the automatic distribution didn't come out, or some other very simple answer. They will managed cases (forum's word for account past due) and planned payment arrangements for those accounts. This is a very entry level collections role, but they need to be extremely professional! They look for professionalism in the interview!

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Have: 3+ years of customer service experience - this can be within a call center, in a sales environment, etc. As long as this person has good tenure and comes from a background where they needed to provide excellent customer service then they would be considered. There is no profile that they look for that would corollate with success in this position. They have said that collectors from Sallie Mae and Navient tend to have issues because of bad habits they may have picked up - would still be interested in speaking with former collectors.

Collections and Call Center not a must have, but must have very strong customer service experience if no call center experience.

Ideally they want to see someone that can stay in multiple positions for over a year (2 years preferred). At least needs to have 1 year at each position! Retaining talent is challenging in this department because of what they are doing so they want to ensure they are going to stay!
