First Internet Bank of Indiana Human Resources Generalist in Fishers, Indiana

About the Position:

As a Human Resources Generalist you will provide support across the Human Resources function including, but not limited to, recruiting, compliance, reporting, benefits administration and onboarding. Additionally, you will assist in employee relations and benefits during peak seasons and as needed. This is a highly visible, multi-faceted role that will work within all lines of the Human Resources function. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, and must be able to remain agile while balancing highly time sensitive responsibilities.

What You Will Do:

  • Recruit for open positions from sourcing candidates to offering the position; recruitment workload will vary based on demand from business lines
  • Conduct initial intake meetings with hiring managers to discuss and understand the qualifications, responsibilities, training plan and other key factors for open vacancies
  • Process and track applicant job submissions in order to ensure appropriate and timely updates are provided to applicants on assigned job requisitions
  • Refer qualified and selected applicants to hiring managers for further interviews
  • Demonstrate to candidates a positive reflection of the First Internet Bank brand at all stages of the hiring processes
  • Adhere to fair employment laws and practices
  • Attend career fairs to proactively source a diverse pool of candidates
  • Perform ad-hoc and periodic reporting as requested and assigned for a variety of areas including, but not limited to, compliance, bank examinations, audit, finance/accounting, and HR metrics
  • Ensure and maintain thorough and accurate job descriptions for bank positions, and when necessary, conduct job analysis to identify changes to position scope and update job descriptions accordingly
  • Complete, respond to, and perform compliance reporting requirements including, but not limited to, EEO-1, Vets, Workers Compensation, unemployment, and more
  • Ensure data integrity throughout the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) by identifying gaps and recommending solutions to prevent data errors throughout the system
  • Serve as a backup to benefits administration and assist during open enrollment and other peak seasons as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What were Looking For:

  • Three years of HR compliance or full-cycle recruitment experience required
  • Recruitment experience in financial services industry preferred
  • Human Resources experience preferred in multiple areas including employee relations, accommodations and benefit administration
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or similar HR designation is highly preferred
  • Prior experience utilizing a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) or Applicant Tracking System (ATS) as an admin required
  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Human Resources, Business, or related field required, equivalent work experience will be considered
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills
  • Strong public speaking skills required. Ability to make effective presentations before an audience and imparting knowledge and key information to small, medium, and large employee groups

Working Conditions / Demands:

  • Professional office setting.
  • Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
  • Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
