\ Under limited supervision performs security work of routine difficulty in the supervision, care, and welfare of inmates detained in the Jail facility; performs related work as assigned.

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN OUR DETENTION TEAM?

  • On-the-job training (OJT) prior to attending 320-hour in-house Detention Academy. After successful completion, they receive 13 hours of college credit
  • Starting pay is \$43,751 annually with an increase to \$45,064annuallyaftersuccessful completion of Academy;\$46,416 annually aftercompletion of FTO, then \$47,808 annually after one year as a Detention Officer I.
  • Starting Pay for Lateral transfer will start between\$46,416 and \$53,778 annually
  • Up to \$2000 signing bonus.

  • Participation in the Detention Officer Incentive Plan which gives officers the opportunity to get a payout after 2 years of employment or use that payout for Home Purchase Assistance after 1 year of employment.
