Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring all purchase and sales orders are processed. This individual will track all movement of inventory within the warehouse. They will also be responsible for supervising hourly employees to make sure time is well spent and will find ways to cut and maintain all operation costs.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for shipping and receiving functions Responsible for overseeing warehouse layouts, truck load optimization (cubing a truck) Responsible for establishing operational procedures for activities such as verifications of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials Responsible for physical condition of warehouse and equipment Responsible for directing salvage of damaged or used material Responsible for RGA's, investigating customer complaints involving matters such as damaged items, overcharges, and delay in shipment, and makes necessary adjustments Responsible for preparing and maintaining all warehouse reporting and compliance to budgets Responsible for compliance to all safety standards, Barrette policies, and for maintaining good housekeeping practices to achieve a safe and productive work environment Administers hourly and salaried performance appraisals/reviews for departmental personnel Assist and maintain operational performance metrics Ensure shipping loads are 100% correct and no miss shipments Ensure inside inventory storage is organized and clean Raw Materials all within Max/Min levels Ensure training is complete, and back up people trained with sign-off Maintain forklift certification program Develop and/or maintain procedures for all positions and tasks Continually finding ways to improve department

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree preferred 3 or more years of experience in a production inventory control environment Basic knowledge of warehouse operations Basic knowledge of truck loading laws Plastics manufacturing experience desirable Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills and willing to support all shifts Teamsters' union experience would be a plus
