The Manufacturing Technician-Production Operations for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for performing a variety of assignments within a manufacturing environment which mainly include but not limited to assisting with the filling and packaging of reagents.

This position is part of the Manufacturing located in Florence, KY and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Manufacturing Team and report to the Production Manager responsible for p erforming a variety of assignments within a manufacturing environment which mainly include but not limited to assisting with the filling and packaging of reagents. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Teamwork, attendance & an ability to adapt to change are critical for this position.

  • Perform daily housekeeping of the production areas & equipment as required.

  • Maintain up to date training records & comply with all company policies & procedures. Motivated & able to learn simple to more complex processes with increasing experience & building of skills.

  • Has authority to stop the production line & notify the appropriate individual for any concerns involving Safety, Quality or Production issues. Support & maintain 5S activities in manufacturing areas.

  • Work alongside team members to assemble units, sub-assemblies, or complete units by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, work order information, assembly procedures, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process.

  • Support 5S activities in manufacturing areas, including daily housekeeping of the production areas & equipment.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and have the ability to work overtime as required.

  • Must be able to read & follow process documentation written in English. Required to accurately record information within documentation while maintaining strict adherence to FDA, GMP & ISO requirements and identify & implement process improvement projects using Lean techniques.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Lean Manufacturing

  • Chemical, Reagent, or consumable goods manufacturing experience.
