Summary

Production Control Associate

Responsible for reconciliation of production orders to material usage and for proper scheduling of materials andlabor to meet production demands for multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

Schedules production orders in SAP for work in process materials and verifies proper processing in support of theproduction schedule. Provides material tracing of goods issued to the order and performs audit of manufacturingpaperwork to SAP.

Reconciles material goods issue and receipt to production orders daily, ensures inventory quantities balance, andcommunicates/investigates discrepancies with management, line personnel, the warehouse, and all appropriatedepartments.

Coordinates material and product changes.

Plans daily labor schedule to meet production demand as provided by the Production Scheduler, while controlling useof overtime hours.

Tracks and maintains database in SAP and appropriate records for accurate history and prepares various productionreports in a timely manner.

Attends necessary management meetings to remain current on status of all projects, problems, new products, schedulingpossibilities, and dates affecting production scheduling.

Helps train line employees and management to correctly input information in SAP.

Assists supervisors with planning/scheduling and works with management to prevent and/or resolve allscheduling/shipping problems.

Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a mannerconsistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Years of Related Experience: 3-5 years related experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Basic skills in the operation of a personal computer in a Windows operating environmentto include Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook. Prefer knowledge of SAP, Excel, and other software. Basic skill in thegeneration of data from electronic general ledger systems such as SAP preferred. Knowledge of manufacturingprocesses and materials movement preferred. Must be able to problem solving with limited supervision. Must be ableto work independently, have good people skills and continually work to develop the position. Written and verbalskills sufficient to communicate with and retrieve information from other employees. Prefer experience in productionor labor scheduling.
