The opportunity:

The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating, planning, organizing, and implementing engineering projects within constraints of specific objectives and target dates. Projects are conceived and specified by engineering management. The Electrical Project Engineer reports to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Functions as a working team member

  • Prepares estimates of time, costs, and manpower requirements

  • Provides technical direction to project team members.

  • Locate, order/buy, and specify hardware/software equipment and spares.

  • Outlines project requirements, assigns tasks and supervises progress to ensure that objectives are being met.

  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in heavy industrial or process industries, Pulp & Paper experience preferred.

  • Project management experience, PMP Certification a plus

  • Drafting and CAD (AutoCAD) training/experience

  • Personal computer skills

  • Experience in four or more of the following areas:

  • Power distribution systems

  • Process instrumentation systems.

  • Process Design

  • Distributed control systems

  • Programmable logic controllers

  • Coordinated drive systems.

  • Variable speed AC and DC drives

  • Low and medium voltage motor control centers
