THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will provide technical expertise and support to Maintenance and Operating departments. They are focused on planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs to optimize uptime in the facility.

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT SMURFIT WESTROCK:

• Functions as a working team member

• Utilizes the JDE CMMS as a primary tool of the mill maintenance process.

• Train operations and maintenance team members on technical standards, continuous improvement methods related to maintenance and sustainability of basic conditions.

• Provides technical direction to team members.

• Participates in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

• Locates, order/buy, and specify hardware/software equipment and spares when needed.

• Outlines project requirements, assigns tasks and supervises progress to ensure that objectives are being met.

• Completes planning and scheduling for assigned areas, coordinating with the operating departments.

• Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study preferred; Associate degree and years of experience will be considered.

• Minimum of two years of experience in heavy industrial or process industries and Pulp & Paper experience preferred.

• Drafting and CAD (AutoCAD) training/experience

• Personal computer skills

• Experience in four or more of the following areas:

• Power distribution systems

• Process instrumentation systems.

• Process Design

• Distributed control systems

• Programmable logic controllers

• Coordinated drive systems.

• Variable speed AC and DC drives

• Low and medium voltage motor control centers
