Job Title: Remote Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Pharmacy Technicians to join our team remotely in the EST Timezone. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for reviewing Prior Authorizations for coverage determination. You will either approve or deny these requests and then send them to a Pharmacist for final review. This role involves handling all health plans and all types of medications with minimal phone work, primarily outbound if required.

Responsibilities

  • Track coverage determination requests.

  • Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers.

  • Approve requests based on criteria and enter decisions into the PBM system.

  • Notify providers and members of decision outcomes.

  • Respond to client inquiries.

  • Refer requests for specialty drugs.

  • Contact providers for additional information.

  • Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls, if needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in retail pharmacy, call center, PBM, hospital, or specialty pharmacy.

  • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance health plans.

  • Must be a registered pharmacy technician in the state you reside in and nationally certified.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
