JF ACQUISITION LLC Construction Field Supervisor (Flower Mound) in Flower Mound, Texas

The primary responsibilities of the supervisor are to coordinate all construction jobs. These responsibilities will include planning, organizing and controlling resources on a job to maximize productivity with the end goal; meeting or beating the projects budget. Along with these responsibilities the supervisor will assist when necessary on projects and also assure quality and proper training of Crew Leaders and Helpers. Consistently demonstrates proficiency in all essential duties.

Job Duties:

  • Attends and contributes to pre-construction meetings.
  • Attends on site coordination meetings with customer and salesman.
  • Aids in the education and enforcement of company policies and procedure on the job site.
  • Motivates employees to set aggressive/achievable production goals.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, plans, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assemble and installation of assigned projects.
  • Reviews materials based on information provided by salesman or as indicated on drawings or other written instruction, or as indicated by standard industry practices to complete the task at hand.
  • Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines in work area to determine actual locations of system components as described in drawings.
  • Operates tools and equipment necessary to safely and efficiently complete assigned tasks.
  • Solves field technical problems.
  • Conducts daily huddles to review current and short-term production goals and solicits ideas and suggestions to improve output. Also reviews particular safety events for the project.
  • Periodically analyzes work to be accomplished to assure that all information, tools and materials required are present prior to beginning work.
  • Understands, complies and enforces company safety policies.
  • Understands, complies and enforces OSHA safety requirements.
  • Conducts daily morning huddles to review safety issues.
  • Participates in and trains subordinates in the use of daily safety observations.
  • Participates in other safety programs provided by employer.
  • Considers work to be performed to identify potential safety hazards and either eliminates the hazard or reports the problem to the Project Manager for resolution prior to beginning work.
  • Insures the use of the proper safety equipment at all times by all employees under his direction.
  • Reports accidents or injuries to personnel office immediately. Aids in the investigation of accidents.
  • Reviews the Job Cost Analysis Report with Project or Construction Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Provides proper documents as required by company policies and procedures or as requested by Manager or other departments (ie: vehicle maintenance sheets, absence request forms, employee review forms, etc.)
  • Monitors the crew leaders for productivity of each member. Reports immediately any unacceptable behavior or work habits of subordinates or subcontractors. This includes any violation of company policy, applicable safety standard, local, state or federal law.
  • Trains crew members thru quality and safety inspections.
Requirements
  • Highschool Diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to meet companys employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.
