Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Senior Job Developer who will be responsible for placing young adults ages 17-24 in full-time positions. At least 75% of the program’s out-of-school, unemployed, and underemployed young adults must reside in zip codes impacted by high rates of gun violence. This initiative treats gun violence as a public health crisis and includes both short-term solutions and long-term strategies that focus on community-based intervention and prevention to break the cycle of violence. A key component of our prevention strategy is providing access to and readiness for careers for out-of-school young people.

Responsibilities:

Supervising and Staff Development

  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel and provide development and training opportunities for staff.

  • Participate in the selection of new employees as assigned.

  • Provide scope and prioritization on work assignments for staff, ensuring strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.

Employer Engagement and Cultivation

  • Manage and steward relationships with corporate and large business partners.

  • Network with businesses of all sizes within the community to foster engagement.

  • Conduct follow-ups with corporate employers to maintain and strengthen partnerships.

  • Develop and deliver compelling sales pitches to potential employers.

  • Research and identify new employer prospects to expand engagement opportunities for program participants.

Workplace Skills Training & Workshops

  • Assist job developers in identifying and participating in industry-specific job fairs.

  • Support job developers in proactively creating and maintaining a calendar for ongoing participant skill development.

Placements & Data

  • Oversee timely and accurate input of placement data.

  • Review reports for accuracy to ensure informed participation and tracking.

  • Maintain audit-ready files for compliance.

  • Conduct regular check-ins with employers throughout the placement process.

  • Monitor contract deliverables to stay informed of progress and adherence to goals.

Participant Engagement

  • Support job developers by assisting with regular check-ins with participants.

  • Ensure participants remain on track with their placements and provide the necessary support to guide them toward success.
