The City of Folkston, Georgia has one position in the police department for a patrolman. The major duties of this position are to enforce the laws established by the City of Folkston as well as state and federal laws.

Applicant must possess a High School Diploma or equivalency certificate from an accredited school and a Valid Georgia Driver's License. Applicants must undergo a background investigation and conform to the minimum qualifications imposed by the Georgia Peace Officer standards and training council.

Successful applicants will be required to obtain an Intoximeter Certificate and Radar Permit. The qualified applicants must have excellent moral character and be physically fit.
