Brunswick Mercury Marine Electronics Design Engineering Intern in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin

As an Electronics Design Engineering Intern you will work collaboratively and independently with highly qualified engineering professionals who are responsible for the design, production and manufacture of outboard and sterndrive motors for the recreational boating industry. As a member of the Electronics Engineering Team, you will support defining, testing, and implementing electronics for the next generation of marine engine and control systems.

You will become an integral member of an engineering team committed to delivering superior results. You’ll learn how to work with a team of engineers and technicians, in a lab setting or on a boat on the water, as you own and manage assigned projects from inception to completion.

In addition to a great hands-on learning experience you will also:

  • Support testing and validation of electrical and software systems for both ICE and E-Propulsion engines and advanced user features (joystick, autopilot, etc).

  • Write technical reports from test results and follow-up on failure analysis

  • participate in cross-functional engineering design reviews,

Qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Current enrollment in a BS program with a major in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum second semester sophomore status with 48 completed credits.

  • Availability to work full-time during the summer from May-August 2025

  • Experience with ECAD layout software

  • Skills in data collection and analysis through standard software packages

  • Permanent US Work Authorization required
