ADVOCAP INC Tenant Support Specialist in FOND DU LAC, Wisconsin

ADVOCAP, Inc., is an established, recognized leader with over 50 years of experience in delivering effective anti-poverty and self-sufficiency programs and services. We are a private, nonprofit Community Action Agency committed to our mission of \"creating opportunities for people and communities to reduce poverty and increase self-sufficiency.\" Tenant Support Specialist We are seeking an individual to join our team. This position will serve all three counties in ADVOCAP\'s service area: Winnebago, Fond du Lac, and Green Lake counties. ADVOCAP is investing in new resources to boost the economic and housing stability of our low-income tenants. Our Tenant Support Specialist will provide our tenants with wraparound supportive services to include coaching, mentoring case management, resource navigation and help to increase their economic mobility ensuring they can maintain stable housing. The ideal candidate will thrive in personalized planning, coaching, mentoring, and collaborative service coordination. Responsibilities Include: Establish trusting relationships with tenants and staff from other Advocap programs and community agencies Respond to individuals and families in crisis and assist them in addressing basic needs while in our housing units Work with individuals and families in establishing their plan for self-sufficiency Coach and motivate participants along their path to self-sufficiency Connect participants to appropriate community resources and document the individual\'s needs, plans, services provided, and outcomes achieved ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Job Requirements: This position will have a bachelor\'s degree in human services or social services, and 2 years of previous case management work experience or an equivalent combination is required to meet job standards Strong computer skills in MS Office and internal database Possess an understanding of poverty and the ability to be non-judgmental with those being served Ability to develop positive, growth-directed relationships with individuals and families in poverty Knowledge of and experience in utilizing community resources to help people in need Acceptable drug screen and comprehensive background check required Reliable attendance and a professional work ethic ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply In Person: ADVOCAP, Inc. 19 W 1st Street Fond du Lac, WI 54935 Mail a Rsum: Human Resources PO Box 1108, Fond du Lac, WI 54936-1108 E-Mail a Rsum: hr@advocap.org Apply Online: www.advocap.org Fax a Rsum: 920-927-9930 Other: How to Apply: Submit a resume and include a cover letter that highlights your relevant background and desire for the position.
