GENERAL FUNCTION

Quality Auditor II will be responsible for conducting in-line visual inspections of fully assembled products (finished goods) and/or individual components (semi-finished goods). The visual inspection will include inspection of all components including lenses, frame components, decorations, attachments, and barcode labels to ensure products meet the required Quality standards.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Successfully complete and pass Quality training and certification covering inspection of a fully assembled product (lens, frame, decorations and attachments)

  • Complete 100% in-line inspection on assigned assembly line for fully assembled product (finished goods)

  • Responsible for inspecting the first unit of every order and creating the First Article Sample that is used as the reference for the entire order.

  • Participate in line changeover to ensure timely and accurate startup of each order.

  • Record production data, perform RFID scanning functions and report inspection findings utilizing MES to track defects, scrap and yield information including any documentation as instructed.

  • Follow all written and verbal directions provided by Quality Lead, QA/MFG Supervisor and Production Leadership.

  • Mark, separate and prepare defective samples to be reviewed with Quality Lead, QA/MFG Supervisor and/or Quality Engineers in accordance to established processes and procedures.

  • Provide communication to assembly line operators as well as Production & Quality leadership if there is a high frequency of issues or high defect rates for root cause investigation and troubleshooting.

  • Utilize Quality alerts, First Article Samples and limit samples as required.

  • Works safely and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Reports safety hazards and work-related injuries to supervision immediately.

  • Work effectively and collaboratively with others.

  • Performs variety of positions in the production area as required by business needs (Equal or lower job tasks) including assembly and packaging of product.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.

  • May be assigned to different workstations as production needs require or shift from one station to another to reduce fatigue factor.

  • Attend pre-defined Quality Training certifications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • Ability to read documentation, understand it and communicate verbally in English to perform safely and effectively the main job duties ( ability to read and understand job safety requirements and procedures, Work instructions, Quality Training and directions from supervisors, lead, or co-worker )

  • Have a near vision capability of 20/40 max with/without corrective prescription eyewear.

  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work more than 8 hours a day, weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain concentration for long periods of time.

  • Quick learners, ability to multi-task, adapt to a quickly changing environment.

  • Self-driven individuals that can work with light supervision as well as a team player.

  • Basic Math Skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide). Data entry / typing skills.

  • Occasionally bends, stoops, and reaches shoulder level for shift duration.

  • Lift up to 25lbs occasionally throughout shift.

  • Ability to use basic computer systems (Office/SAP)

  • Ability to use computer systems to retrieve information required for their daily inspections (PLM for Digital FAS, T2T Drawings, Work Instructions), for PIC (Protection Index Code) review vs Bar Code Labels (BCL)

​Pay Range: [[21.89]] - [[31.68]]
