Job Title: Shop Helper
Job Description
We are hiring for a shop helper in our metal fabrication shop! This is a great opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing experience who is interested in getting more involved in the metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing processes. You will be assisting welders and machinists by running a few punch/press machines once trained.
Responsibilities
Measuring parts
Running punch and press machines
Complete documentation related to scrap or completed parts
Following directions from supervisors, welders, and machine operators
Shop cleaning and daily opening/closing tasks throughout the shop
Use a tape measure and basic shop math to measure, cut, and fabricate parts
Strong attendance, reliability, and eagerness to learn
Essential Skills
Previous manufacturing experience
Proficient in measuring tools including reading a tape measure and performing basic shop math
Proficient in hand tools
Reliable with a good attitude verified via reference

Work Environment & Schedule
The work environment exposes you to moving mechanical parts and to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6am - 2:30pm.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
