HOUSKA INC Landscape Laborer in Foristell, Missouri

Houska, Inc. is looking to fill 12 Landscape Laborer Positions in Boone, Callaway, Franklin, Gasconade, Lincoln, Montgomery, Pike, St Charles, St Louis City, St Louis and Warren. This is a temporary, fulltime position starting on 4/1/2025 and ending on 11/30/2025.

Using hand tools perform landscaping, including seeding and sodding; watering; digging holes using hand tools with a max width of 24 inches and a depth of 18 inches, holes are to plant; planting, hauling top soil and mulch. Must have OSHA 30 certification, requirement per our commerical and school related projects. Involves loading and unloading tools and supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Involves working outdoors in all types of weather. Involves extensive standing, sitting or walking. Involves frequent stooping or bending. Involves repetitive movements. Must have OSHA 30 certification, requirement per our commerical and school related projects.. Pay starts at $19.30/hr to $21.30/hr but can vary from skill, experience on private jobs and $45.00-$70.00 on hour on prevailing wage jobs. Employee must join Local 110 union, one time initial fee of $70 to $250, monthly membership fee of $21 to $34. 2% of gross pay deducted and paid to local 110 Laborers Union fringe benefits fund and submitted to the union on the 15th of each month by Houska per union requirements. A small stipend may be given to workers when they first arrive, which may vary depending on their first payday. Possibility of performance based raise, bonuses, overtime and Saturdays as required. Transportation provided to multiple worksites from central location in Foristell, MO. 60 minutes of unpaid breaks throughout the day. Required local 110 union monthly membership fee deduction of $21 to $34. 2% of gross pay deducted per union requirements. Deduction will only be made when the employer has a signed authorization card by the employee providing for such deduction and payment to the respective local union. Elective deductions will not drop the overall wage below the UDSOL minimum, if the deductions are too great they will not be made. Daily hours may vary between start and end times listed depending on weather or job assignments.

Terms and Conditions of Employment: Pay starts at $19.30/hr to $21.30/hr but can vary from skill, experience on private jobs and $45.00-$70.00 on hour on prevailing wage jobs.Minimum of 40 hours per week - M-F (with a possibility of Sat.), 7:00:00 AM to 4:00:00 PM (schedules may vary). Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate is $28.95 to $31.95. Possibility of Performance based raise. On the job training provided.

Housing: If requested, employer may assist non-local workers securing optional worker-paid lodging (not to exceed fair market value, based on number of occupants; cost TBD). Housing costs paid directly to landlord and are not payroll deducted. Transportation: Employer will provide advance transportation costs for most economical common carrier for workers, either foreign or domestic, to place of employment from place of recruitment and reimburse subsistence when worker completes 50% of the work period.

Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence to be reimbursed at a minimum amount of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per 24 hour period (with receipts) of travel.

Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.

Miscellaneous: Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law unless agreed to. H-2B Workers who paid visa, border and or other visa related fees, including those mandated by the government, will be reimbursed by employer in the first workweek.
