As a highly valued member of the Forney, TX Team, this role will support the Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day shipping and receiving operations, ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. This role will foster a team atmosphere, provide vision, and demonstrate support for the company’s core processes.

AS A WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR, YOU WILL:

  • Ensure the department meets on-time delivery and quality goals daily.

  • Manage Personnel Resources: motivating, developing, and directing team members.

  • Provide training for shipping and receiving associates.

  • Be responsible for order selection, replenishment, and loading of all products.

  • Maintain a safety culture and strive for 100% compliance concerning safety policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate a continuous effort to improve warehouse operations by decreasing turnaround time, streamlining work processes, and providing customer support.

  • Control costs on supplies and labor.

  • Ensure safe and proper use of all power equipment.

  • Coordinate deliveries and dispatch activities as needed.

  • Review all paperwork and processes for accuracy and coordinate timely outbound deliveries and inbound receipts with the clerical team, customer service, and transportation as needed.

  • Monitor employee performance, and attendance and provide corrective action and training as needed.

  • Manage team members through floor presence, group interaction, and analysis of WMS production data with pre-determined productivity expectations.

  • Process Customs Documentation Requirements.

  • Lead monthly execution of key performance indicators, productivity, on-time delivery, monthly sales, cycle counts, safety, etc.

  • Lead other duties/projects as assigned by the DC Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Five (5) years of warehouse experience with one (1) year of supervisory experience.

  • Experience with MS Office Suite, and Enterprise Resource Program such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE.

  • Experience with receiving/shipping, and inventory control functions using a warehouse management system.

  • Analytical skills to review numbers for developing benchmarks and KPI’s.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. 

  • Willingness to lead from the front as a hands-on leader, trainer, and employee.

  • Proven effective leadership and organizational abilities; lead by example in terms of overall performance and conduct. Strong with human relations skills, conflict resolutions.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and/or a variety of shifts.

  • Work with all levels of management and line associates.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, sit, walk, kneel, bend, and carry up to 50 lbs. boxes. Lift boxes 50% of the time or more. ​

  • Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related or a combination of college-level education and related work experience

  • Excellent communication skills in English / Spanish

  • Knowledge of ISO QMS

SCHEDULE:

This is a weekend shift position with general working hours of Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM.

LOCATION:

This role will help support our new distribution center in Forney, TX. The address is 13871 E US Highway 80 Frontage Road, Forney, TX 75126.
