About the Position: Serves as a senior information technology specialist for communications/messaging systems supported by the directorate, performing a variety of complex software engineering, integration, implementation, and support tasks to meet customer requirements, costs, and schedules. Responsibilities Functions as a technical expert/principal action officer for meeting broad objectives in providing messaging capabilities and services. Estimates and justifies required project resources, e.g., monetary and personnel resources. Develops or reviews for accuracy and adequacy implementation plans and schedules, risk management analysis, system and product evaluations, and recommends methods for enhancing customer satisfaction. Analyzes customer requirements, develops support requirements, and arranges for necessary in-house and contractor support personnel. Use of computer programming languages, operating systems, data base management systems, automated software tools, and test methodologies, to effectively evaluate and implement software system, and to advise team members.
