SAIC Sustainment Support Specialist in FORT CAVAZOS, Texas

SAIC is seeking a Sustainment Support Specialist to support a U.S. Army Sustainment Cell in Rock Island, IL .

Job Duties:

Participate as part of team focused on providing logistical support and manages materiel readiness reporting for the Division; performs materiel readiness management duties and integrating the functions of supply, transportation, maintenance.

Inventory management, operations, supply chain management, and materiel management. Candidate may be responsible for the life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal.

Maintenance management includes planning, coordinating, monitoring maintenance and repair of both RC mobilized Training Equipment Sets (TES) and First Army organic TDA equipment.

Assists US Army Reserve Command (USARC), Army National Guard (ARNG) and First Army Divisions with interpretation of policy, readiness planning and coordination above Division echelon maintenance requirements with Army Sustainment Command (ASC), FORSCOM and other Mobilization Enterprise Partners.

Monitors maintenance readiness and programs in support of Reserve Component (RC) during pre- and post-mobilizing phases in conjunction with First Army partner and Mobilization Force Generation Installation (MFGI) Brigades Collaborates with USARC, ARNG, FORSCOM, AMC, National Guard SRAAGs and other supporting agencies to achieve Department of the Army directed readiness requirements.

Assists First Army Division/Brigade Maintenance Officers with organic TDA equipment maintenance management. Participates in Division level Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP) inspections when directed.

Monitors First Army Brigade Field Level Maintenance (FLM) contract performance, conducts labor and cost analysis and provides recommendations to optimize contracts.

Generates maintenance reports via Army programs of record, conducts analysis and recommends actions to improve equipment readiness for both RC and First Army organic TDA equipment.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s and six (6) years of experience; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree.

Required Security Clearance:

  • Active Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Required Skills:

  • Experience in Army Logistics Systems

  • Experience in Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), Maintenance Management Information Systems (MMIS), and Decision Support Tool (DST)

  • Experience with EFLIPL

  • GSA Motor Vehicle Management experience

  • Current/Prior service as a logistics NCO, Logistics/Maintenance Warrant Officer, or S-4 Officer

  • Strong writing and communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Army Reserve Component Mobilizations

  • Experience using Army Vantage
