Description of Work Unit

Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation’s leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Located an hour north of the Denver metro area, Fort Collins is a vibrant community of approximately 157,000 residents that offers the convenience of a small town with all of the amenities of a large city. Position Summary

The Cybersecurity Alignment Senior Change Management Analyst will play a key role to ensure the project (change initiatives) meets objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage of new policies and processes. This person will focus on the people side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. The Senior Change Management Analyst will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.

The Senior Change Management Analyst will act as a coach for the community members impacted by the project, helping them fulfill the role of change sponsors. The Senior Change Management Analyst will provide direct support and coaching to frontline managers, supervisors and those whose daily work will change to during the implementation and transition. The Senior Change Management Analyst will also support the project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.

Required Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree. Candidates with a High School Diploma (or GED ) and equivalent related professional experience (4+ years) will be considered for employment with this position.

  • Experience facilitating recurring meeting that include a variety of stakeholders from across multiple units/departments/organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives with varied complexity.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience designing and leading strategies for change management initiatives.

  • Experience developing change management plans and related project documentation

  • Ability to understand technology topics and issues and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

  • The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the department will not sponsor a visa for this position

Preferred Job Qualifications

  • Change management certification such as CCMP or Prosci.

  • Experience in a higher education, with human capital management ( HCM ) projects

  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.

  • Familiarity with concepts, tools and techniques related to one or more of these fields: training, communications, process analysis, documentation development.

  • Developing Change Management Plans for the Cybersecurity Alignment initiative working with senior leaders, project team members and campus community partners.

  • Coordinates with communications manager, business analyst, project manager, and project trainer to ensure understanding of current process, project timelines and ensure that change management plans are integrated across all disciplines.

  • Work with leaders and managers to ensure they are trained and coached on their roles in leading change for the Cybersecurity Alignment Project and with their teams.

  • Routinely communicate with key stakeholders to assess needs and determine status and adapt coaching and communications plans as needed.

  • Administers surveys and monitoring to collect data, perform analysis and measure the results of change management activities and prepare plans for improvements.

  • Develop relationships with stakeholders and human resource professionals to gain a working knowledge of existing business processes in order to assess the impact of the changes toward industry best practices

  • Lead small teams representing multi campus environment to receive feedback and adjust change mgmt. plans accordingly

  • Identify and prepare the stakeholders of upcoming changes and determines how they will be affected.

  • Apply change management techniques, processes, and tools to projects, including developing a change management strategy and associated plans

  • Use project management methods to keep change initiatives on track and keep change sponsors informed.
