Insight Global TS/SCI Test and Evaluation Engineer in Fort George G Meade, Maryland

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Test and Evaluatoin Engineer to support a DoD program in Fort Meade, MD. We're building a dynamic engineering team with a real-world cyber mission focus. Seeking seasoned T&E Engineer who are highly motivated to put their knowledge into play developing, deploying and maintaining advanced, complex operational networks. Our client can pay $60-$75/hr. Job responsibilities include:

* Responsible for the operational testing and checkout procedures of the Weapons platform after each release to ensure no operational outages to critical mission functionality occurs during the release process

* Develop test plans, procedures, and scenarios to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability in accordance with operational requirements and specifications

* Coordinate with stakeholders to define test objectives, success criteria, and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with system upgrade goals and mission objectives

* Validate system compliance with operational requirements, standards, and regulations, conducting verification and validation activities to ensure that the upgraded system meets specified performance, reliability, and security criteria

* Document test results, observations, and findings in test reports and issue tracking systems, communicating findings to stakeholders and recommending corrective actions or system adjustments as needed

* Works with the end users/stakeholders to return the system to operations after every patch windows

* Documents status and results of operational checkout procedures, alerts Tier 2 and Tier 3 team members of any issues during checkout

* Support OA and DT events as needed. Estimated to be 1 Operational Assessment (OA) and 4-6 Developmental Tests (DTs) a year

Skills and Requirements

* Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a Polygraph

* Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

* Six (6) years of work experience (In lieu of education ten (10) years of experience.)

o Experience with systems/equipment configuration, testing, and validation of installation of components. Components include but are not limited to: Microsoft (current Version) Hyper-V Manager, Microsoft's System Center monitoring components/methods, mass storage arrays and servers, Dell Open Manage essentials

o Experience evaluating effectiveness of existing technologies and considering emerging technologies

o Ability to add, configure, and manage roles and features on Microsoft Server (current version) including but not limited to:

o DHCP Server

o DNS Server

o File and Storage Services

o Print and Document Services

o Remote Desktop Services

o Windows Server Update Services

o .NET Framework, Failover Clustering, Remote Server Administration Tools

o Windows PowerShell * Microsoft (current Version) Storage Spaces Direct (S2D)

* Microsoft (current Version) Failover Clustering

* Microsoft's System Center monitoring components/methods

* Containers

* Data Center Bridging

* Group Policy Management

* Skype for Business Server and client installations

* SQL Server null
