About the Position: Serves as the Transportation Division Chief responsible for oversight and coordination of the installation transportation program. Responsible for Coordinating all Transportation manpower support for the installation mission. Responsibilities Maintains overview of program accomplishments and manpower utilization. Responsible for transportation program budgets for the LRC. Develops future program requirements to support the Installation’s Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submission to Command echelon. Plans, assigns, and evaluates work of subordinates. Alternate contracting officer representative (ACOR) responsible for administration of local move contract and the installation pack and crate contract. Serves as an advisor to the LRC Director on overall matters relating to the division and serves as LRC's subject matter expert relating to transportation issues. Coordinates work of the Transportation Division with installation staff activities and with organizations and units to whom support services are provided. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes monitoring transportation operating procedures; oversee movement/storage of personal property utilizing air and surface transportation systems; passenger travel, movement of army freight, and quality control inspections of household goods shipments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Customer Service Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
