U.S. Army Reserve Command Supervisory Aircraft Pilot in Fort Knox, Kentucky

Summary About the Position: This position is with the Army Reserve Aviation Command, Aviation Support Facility Knox East located at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Responsibilities Serve as a Supervisory Aircraft Pilot for the United States Aviation Support Facility (ASF). Establish work schedules and priorities for subordinates based on workload. Provide training support in all phases of aviation unit operations, aircraft maintenance and supply functions. Formulate, standardize, and implement comprehensive flight standardization, evaluation and training programs. Responsible for the operation of the USAR Aviation Support Facility for the Army Reserve Aviation Command. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Basic Requirement: Possession of the appropriate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot certificates, and/or military rating, meeting the applicable flight hour requirements, and possession of the knowledge and skills required for the position. Specialized experience includes: Performing various aviator duties, such as: Pilot, Copilot, Pilot in Command (PI), Instructor Pilot (IP), Standardization Instructor Pilot (SIP), Instrument Flight Examiner (IE), Maintenance Test Pilot (MP), or Maintenance Test Pilot Examiner (ME); establishing work schedules, determining priorities, delegating responsibilities, providing feedback to employees, and setting performance standards; assisting with operational budgetary requirements; and providing training in all phases of aviation unit operations, aircraft maintenance and supply functions. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. One year supervisory probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
