Description We are in search of a diligent Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, involving the execution of tasks such as entering invoices, making payments, preparing check runs, and managing intercompany invoices. The successful candidate will also be required to clean up aging reports, code invoices, and conduct invoice research.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter invoices and ensure timely payments.

• Handle intercompany invoices, coordinating with different departments as necessary.

• Prepare check runs, ensuring that all necessary checks are processed in a timely manner.

• Assist in maintaining and cleaning up aging reports, identifying any irregularities or issues.

• Code invoices correctly, identifying the appropriate locations for each invoice.

• Conduct research for invoices, resolving any discrepancies or issues.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks, demonstrating comfort with spreadsheets.

• Operate QuickBooks Online and other software, demonstrating a strong understanding of these platforms.

• Assist in the implementation of Coupa and NetSuite, helping to streamline our accounts payable processes.

• Collaborate with team members and other departments, ensuring smooth operations within the Accounts Payable department. Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online is mandatory

• Must have a strong command of Microsoft Excel

• Experience with invoice payment and check runs is required

• Ability to generate and analyze aging reports

• Previous experience in coding invoices is preferred

• Demonstrable experience in invoice entry is required

• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively

• High level of integrity and confidentiality is required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Minimum of two years of experience in an accounts payable role is preferred
