Carnival Cruise Line Production Services Casting Specialist - Hybrid in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

We are seeking an experienced Entertainment professional to join our team. This is a hybrid position based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As our Production Services Casting Specialist you’ll be responsible for recruiting all positions in the Stage Staff department. You’ll review resumes and interview videos and conduct interviews as they relate to each position, including technical specialities. You’ll also work closely with the Crew Scheduling team to forgo any possible gaps or failing of staffing placement performance.

Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate with Crew Scheduling to ensure proper staffing numbers are present and forward planned for the entire fleet.

  • Conduct interviews for incoming candidates of all positions, assessing their suitability for PCL induction as well as technical knowledge base as applicable to the position.

  • Reviewing current stage staff roster for internal promotion candidates and ensure the timely assessment of any staff acting into a higher position to be considered for confirmation.

  • Review appraisals for onboard teammates with the goal of guiding individual improvement and growth.

  • Attend recruitment conventions and events to bolster incoming applicant count for key positions.

  • Liaise with existing relationships as well as form new alliances with external vendors in Entertainment Technology for potential referral candidates in key positions.

  • Review and advise regarding potential changes in organizational structure onboard as compared to other Entertainment businesses and institutions.

  • Review position descriptions for shipboard teammates for applicability and adjust as the fleet and company grow and develop.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Entertainment Technology or Theater Management.

  • Minimum two years’ experience in live Entertainment technology operations and installations.

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a casting style role for support technicians in Entertainment.

  • Comfortable with and knowledgeable on the entire Microsoft Office suite of software.

  • Familiar with online project management solutions (Airtable, Wrike, Asana, etc.)

  • Well versed in the use and operation of Entertainment technical equipment in all areas of specialty: Audio (Yamaha, QLab, DigiCo, Shure), Lighting/Video (GrandMA, CueServer, Green Hippo), and Stage Rigging/Automation (Tait Technologies).

  • Engaging individual with keen sense for assessing the suitability of an incoming candidate in various comparisons.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

This is a hybrid role based in either Fort Lauderdale. Candidates must be driving distance and comfortable going into the office 3 days per week.

  • Base Salary Range: $69,300-$93,600. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base pay is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
