Job Title:Operations Specialist (ATRRS)

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform daily operations functions within the Aerial Delivery and Field Services Department (ADFSD).
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards conducting risk operations for Aerial Delivery - Airborne and Sling Load.
  • Work independently to coordinate daily operations and follow Operations Orders.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Possess a minimum three of (3) years military experience in Aerial Delivery operations management.
  • Possess an understanding of Aerial Delivery regulations and Department of Defense (DOD) Instructions applicable to S-3 Air Support Operations functions at the Battalion (BN)/ Brigade (BDE)/Command levels.
  • Must possess the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 92R full scope (parachute pack and cargo aerial delivery) background.
  • Possess experience as a former E6 MOS 92R Parachute Rigger or 921A Airdrop System Technician or Officer MOS 92A (R9) with experience as evidence of competency in S-3 Air functions and familiarity with all U.S. Army aerial delivery system procedures.
  • Possess an Associate Degree level basic technical writing/editing skills for requirements in support of Army standard correspondence writing.
  • Possess the ability to read/comprehend at a minimum of a 12th grade level.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel) to effectively perform services.
  • Possess an outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively perform functions as a Command Level Operations

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Capability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Possess and maintain a valid drivers license.
  • Possess and maintain all required training and certifications.
  • US Citizen

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

  • A government issued Secret Clearance must be kept throughout the entirety of the contract.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Work Environment:

  • The Chief, ETS and the Contractor may mutually agree to specific work elements/schedules that must be performed to assist in the standard day-to-day operation.
  • TheContractor shall work 80 hours per month, Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (0730-1230); exact days and times of services may be jointly determined by the Contractor and the Government in advance, and may be modified by mutual agreement according to any changing program needs.
  • The contractor must inform the ETS Chief of anticipated absences at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to scheduled absence except in emergency situations. Non-emergency leave of one (1) week or more must be scheduled with the ETS Chief at least two (2) weeks in advance and may not exceed two (2) weeks at a time with a maximum of four (4) weeks in one (1) fiscal year.
  • Hours may not be worked on Federal holidays, when the office is closed, or outside the standard work hours of 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  • Position generally requires light work with occasional lifting of up to (30) pounds or more, carrying supplies, equipment.

  • The ability to communicate clearly with an excellent comprehension of the English language is essential.
  • Work is generally performed in an indoor setting.

Travel:

Travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) to support tasks and requirements may be required.
