Project Coordinator

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina - Fort Liberty Type: Non-Exempt Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 per year (Depending on Experience) Benefits: Skookum is proud to offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to our eligible part-time and full-time employees.

Skookum is seeking a dedicated and hard-working Project Coordinator with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for preparing information, drawings, plans and specifications to complete construction and repair projects.

  • Responsible for development of project plans and specifications, planning documents, and other graphical representations where required.

  • Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.

  • Must be able to manage projects as assigned.

  • Confer with engineers, architects, customers, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

  • Completes Job Plans for in-house work orders and IQ including task development, bill of materials and supporting information, e.g. permits, safety.

  • Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

  • Consult with clients, vendors, and/or foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.

  • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.

  • Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.

  • Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.

  • Work closely with the Procurement Lead on key subcontracting actions including scope, RFQ, amendments, award, modifications, and payments.

  • Work closely with Maintenance Supervisors and shops to ensure in-house projects are successful. Work closely with subcontractors and DPW counterparts to ensure projects are successful. Work closely with Skookum QC to ensure QC plan is developed and executed.

  • Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in construction or maintenance management preferred

``` - Minimum of 3 years of Planning/Estimating/Facilities Maintenance, Construction management experience preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP, Construction Quality Management for Contractors (U.S. Army Corp of Engineers) or equivalent preferred.

Physical Require ents:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state drivers license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookums insurance.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain installation access and CAC System clearances.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
