Job Description
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Linux System Administrator t o support the client. The candidate will p rovide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations (Tier 1 / 3), problem identification, diagnosis and resolution), installing and maintaining operating systems, configuring and installing hardware/software, troubleshooting, and sustaining the operational health of the infrastructure.
Duties
Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems
Respond to customer calls and requests as well as assist with infrastructure changes and other duties/assignments as they arrive
Troubleshooting and analyzing Linux systems and networks efficiently
Operating in a Heterogeneous environment so knowledge of Windows, VMWare and Networking a plus
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in a relevant technical field with 3 years of experience
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field with 5 years of experience
Associate Degree in a relevant technical field with 7 years of experience
High School Grad with 9 years of experience in System Administration
DoD 8570 IAT-2 Certification
Knowledge of LINUX system administration, including installing and maintaining operating systems, configuring and installing hardware/software utilizing monitoring technologies
Knowledge of ACAS scans and STE/STN requirements
Required Clearance
Top Secret clearance with FS Polygraph
