Job Description

Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Linux System Administrator t o support the client. The candidate will p rovide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations (Tier 1 / 3), problem identification, diagnosis and resolution), installing and maintaining operating systems, configuring and installing hardware/software, troubleshooting, and sustaining the operational health of the infrastructure.

Duties    

• Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems

• Respond to customer calls and requests as well as assist with infrastructure changes and other duties/assignments as they arrive

• Troubleshooting and analyzing Linux systems and networks efficiently

• Operating in a Heterogeneous environment so knowledge of Windows, VMWare and Networking a plus

  Qualifications

  Required Education and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in a relevant technical field with 3 years of experience

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field with 5 years of experience

• Associate Degree in a relevant technical field with 7 years of experience

• High School Grad with 9 years of experience in System Administration

• DoD 8570 IAT-2 Certification

• Knowledge of LINUX system administration, including installing and maintaining operating systems, configuring and installing hardware/software utilizing monitoring technologies

• Knowledge of ACAS scans and STE/STN requirements

  Required Clearance

• Top Secret clearance with FS Polygraph
