Price Electric Electrical Project Manager/Estimator in Fort Myers Beach, Florida

Independently managing commercial and electrical service projects from inception to completion with support from a PM Assistant, a Project Manager/Estimator will proactively ensure projects are completed properly and timely and fulfill customer and company expectations. Primary responsibilities of the position include:
Identifying and/or qualifying new business opportunities and collaborates with key staff to advance targeted leads and strategies
Comprehending verbal and written job scope to identify opportunities to provide greater value
Analyzing, managing and mitigating risks while determining labor and material requirements
Preparing comprehensive, timely cost estimates that meet Company objectives
Proactively planning the tasks within the timeline and the resources needed to do those tasks within budget
Communicating with internal teams to coordinate resources and keep them well informed
Managing field operations to ensure scheduling, workflow, production and quality expectations are met while industry health and safety standards and company policies are adhered
Coordinating and managing external resources including vendor selection and subcontractors
Ensuring timely completion of project documents and necessary inspections, approvals and certifications by appropriate agencies
Monitoring actual project performance to plan and actively coordinating adjustments to achieve expected results
Managing project financial aspects including current and accurate WIP, timely billing and expense control
Maintaining good working relationships with customers and contractors by understanding their expectations, addressing potential issues, and resolving issues satisfactorily
Estimating scope changes and change orders and keeping parties informed
Coordinating close out, analyzing project performance, gathering feedback and developing and implementing changes for continued improvement
Supporting branch objectives through networking, business development and team back-up
Following established project delivery and contract/project administrative processes using construction management, ERP, MS Office and virtual meeting software effectively
Experience with Procore and McCormick are beneficial
Position Requirements:
At least 4 years of electrical construction estimating or project management experience or 8 years of electrical project site leadership experience as a superintendent or front-line supervisor
Design build experience is preferred
Ability to read and understand plans and specifications for projects, financials, cost data, contracts, agreements and other legal documents
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, listening, collaborating and negotiating skills
Ability to analyze building projects from multiple angles
Proficient financial acumen and mathematical ability to calculate various figures and amounts and make analytical decisions
Resourcefulness, time management, organization, follow through and problems solving skills necessary to meet commitments
Possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable insurability for regular business travel to job sites and meetings
