Description

LeeTran is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our LeeTran team. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for ensuring all riders have a first-class passenger experience while ensuring a high level of assistance to continuously exceed our customers’ expectations. If you are customer-service-oriented and love serving people then this is your opportunity.

This is a year-round temporary position with opportunities for full-time and future advancement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing legendary customer service to passengers or potential passengers

  • Professionally answer incoming calls and assist passengers with the scheduling of trip requests

  • Provide friendly service and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers

  • Responsible for greeting and handling customers in a polite and friendly manner.

  • Resolve passenger issues

  • May be required to deliver route schedules to organizations as requested

  • Creative thinker who enjoys a team-based atmosphere

  • Assist passengers with fare-related inquiries

  • Handle cash, checks, and credit cards as forms of payment during the bus fare purchasing process; balances a drawer at the end of shift

  • Complete required forms and reports

  • May perform other job duties as assigned

Education, Experience, Licensing

  • Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to High School graduation or GED and one year of fast-paced, professional customer service or closely related experience.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record is required.

  • The workdays and hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with rotating weekends and some holidays.

  • This is a Temporary position with FRS and Medical Only benefits under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Retirees of the Investment Plan are eligible for renewed membership in the Investment Plan only. FRS reemployment rules apply for both.
