Lee County Government BOCC Maintenance Worker in Fort Myers, Florida
This
On-Call
position is responsible for preparing athletic fields, stadium fields, or Park facilities for amateur and professional players and coaches to use for their workouts, games, or tournaments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily turf management tasks, and infield clay preparations for amateur and professional sports events.
- General cleaning of restrooms, dugouts, and parks areas, litter and trash clean up.
- Report any safety issues, hazardous situations, or broken and damaged equipment upon inspection.
Education, Experience, Licensing
- Requires any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to High School graduation or GED equivalent and six months of experience in maintenance, including but not limited to; landscape, building, janitorial, or grounds maintenance.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
Supplemental Information
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical skills and the ability to lift 50 pounds and work outside during all seasons.
- This is an On-Callposition. The workdays and hours for this position may vary to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
