WATTS Production Coordinator in Fort Myers, Florida

Primarily responsible for performing all activities necessary for the efficient, accurate, and timely management of all production work orders and related activity.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Schedules, creates, and prioritizes work orders for production floor based on planning department requirements.

  • Organizes, coordinates, and manages production work orders to ensure exactness of ERP system transactions.

  • Open, close and maintenance work orders in ERP system.

  • Coordinates with planning team to strategically monitor the flow of materials into and out of manufacturing work centers.

  • Collaborates with planning, purchasing, production and shipping to advance product through manufacturing.

  • Monitor the flow of jobs on the production floor and partner with planning and scheduling to ensure work is completed on time to schedule.

  • Assist with coordination of production planning, related functions, and schedules.

  • Conduct meetings with operations management on open and/or aged work orders to propose resolutions.

  • May be asked to perform other duties not listed here.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma required; associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 1-3 years minimum of proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting

  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Experience in manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment; ability to coordinate production schedules

  • Good understanding of inventory movements and cycle counts

  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of company personnel

  • Fundamental computer skills (data entry, MS Office including Excel)

  • Proficiency with QAD and/or SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferred

  • Ensure company policies and safety policies are followed

  • Work shift will require early morning start and/or overtime as required. This requirement will vary depending on business requirements. Flexibility is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
