Summary About the Position: Serves as consultant and advisor on a wide variety of issues related to the organization and managerial policies, theories, practices and procedures governing 11th Airborne Division (ABN DIV) programs. Focuses and synchronizes efforts to influence and engage key audiences to promote awareness and understanding that leads to commitment and actions in support of the Army and command intent. Initiates, plans, and coordinates the command's strategic communication program. Communicates command priorities and messages through speeches, articles, briefings, and presentations. Conducts high- level meetings with the HQ Command Group, staff directorates and units on a broad spectrum of topics. Supports the Commander in articulating vision and priorities to internal/external audiences and ensures effectiveness of communication strategies. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing command communication strategies and synchronizing diverse message delivery systems to include designing and amplifying central themes to influence and engage relevant internal and external audiences. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Knowledge Management Oral Communication Strategic Thinking Technical Credibility Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job there is no education substitution for experience, you must qualify based on specialized experience. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
