The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an Information Systems Security Manager to support our government customer located in San Antonio, Texas at Fort Sam Houston and partially remote.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide database stability and security to operating environments of the DoD Joint Trauma System (JTS) to include applications in, but not limited to: Oracle 10g/ 11g, Web Portals, Microsoft SQL Server, and Access. This will include troubleshooting, working with software vendor(s), coordinating account permissions, security updates, and maintaining network connectivity for JTS and worldwide JTS clients.
Periodically be required to report to the duty location for priority projects.
Government furnished equipment (GFE) and remote access to government systems and applications will be provided if working off site.
Must be capable of doing basic computer troubleshooting.
Individual supporting this position must provide high-speed internet access and a dedicated phone line for off-site work.
Responsible for creating supporting documentation for all work efforts.
Task 1: Provide database administrator support of Joint Trauma System databases and associated database interfaces capabilities, to include coordinating updates and patches and maintaining network connectivity clients. Lengthy updates will be planned and scheduled during low volume times. Responsible for applying Patch Set Updates (PSU) from Oracle as required.
Task 2: Responsible for creating procedures, scripts and jobs to maintain linkage with the between datasets and JTS products.
Task 3: Supports testing of new database tables, procedures, and techniques to support access to database elements and specialized dataset formulation to provide review and analysis based on JTS requirements.
Task 4: Configure and maintain Oracle software in collaboration with ISR Red Hat Linux server in a SIPR environment.
Task 5: The contractor shall ensure that Applications/Databases are Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and Risk Management Framework compliant.
Task 6. Establish baseline technical and management Information Assurance (IA) skills among personnel performing IA functions.
Task 7. Ensure that all JTS DoD contracts requiring performance of IA functions as per DoDI 8500, Cybersecurity, are completed as required by the GIO.
Task 8. Work closely with data owners, information systems owners, and users to ensure secure use and operating of Information systems (IS) and networks. Ensure rigorous application of IA policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all information technology (IT) services.
Task 9. Maintain configuration control of hardware, systems and application software.
Task 10. Identify and properly react to security anomalies or integrity loopholes causing system weaknesses or vulnerabilities.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
ISSO/ISSM Experience required
IAM Level I and Level II, and in Linux or Microsoft Access Oracle OR
IAT II: required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Department of Defense cyber security experience.
Experience with DoD ATO, POAM and eMASS processes, procedures, and requirements.
Experience with DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Systems
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in information security.
Experience with incident response, risk assessment, and management.
Strong understanding of security trends and technologies.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Red Hat System Administration experience with Oracle
ACAS experience
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience supporting information technology work efforts with the Defense Health Agency.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have an active Secret clearance or higher
