Systems Administrator Intermediate – TS/SCI required

HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR INTERMEDIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Responsible for activities related to system administration.

  • Manages domains, admits user permissions across platforms, develops strategies for disaster recovery, offers technical support to users, and ensures compliance with regulations and policies

  • Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work.

  • Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.

  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software.

  • Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.

  • Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems

  • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems

  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server devices, etc.

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem

  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers

  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process

  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems

  • Install/load operating system and application software

  • Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof

  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

  • Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems​

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Preferred Education: Associate degree with 7 years of experience or bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience

  • Required Skillset:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong customer service

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with clients

  • Experience in managing domains, auditing user permissions across platforms, developing strategies for disaster recovery, offering technical support to users, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.

  • Experience with Powershell scripting

  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI

  • Required Certification(s):

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract

  • IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent

  • Computing Env: Computing Env: MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent (Must obtain the full AZ104 Microsoft Azure Administrator within 180 days from start date.)

  • Location : On Customer Site

  • Additional :

  • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract

  • Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity

  • Travel may be required to support the mission

The likely salary range for this position is $67,150 - $90,850. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
