Army Installation Management Command Food and Beverage Attendant (Snack Bar) NA-02 in Fort Shafter, Hawaii

Summary This position is located at FORT SHAFTER BOWLING CENTER. Responsibilities In a Snack Bar prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc. Orders fast food items, condiments, and other necessary supplies. Takes delivery of supplies and ensures proper storage of shipments after delivery. Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas. Accepts food orders from patrons and serves alcoholic beverages. Spot checks the guest checks to insure that the information recorded is correct. Serves as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 1. Must meet state/local age (18) requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages. 2. Possess the ability to work with minimal supervision. 3. Must be able to keep things neat, clean, and in order. 4. Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques. 5. Possess the ability to interpret verbal and written instructions. 6. Knowledgeable of basic sanitation principles. 7. Possess the ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment. 8. Must have the ability to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds, and frequently walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach. Education Additional Information Area of Consideration: The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is Island of Oahu. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
