Lockheed Martin Aircraft Maintenance Engineer in Fort Walton Beach, Florida

Description: Please be aware that Lockheed Martin has recently identified that the associated scope of work for this position will transition to a subcontract in March 2024. Lockheed Martin is supporting the complete transition of employment for employees impacted with the transition and will keep open lines of communication through the interview, offer, and transition process.

You will be the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for the MQ-1 and/or MQ-9 team. Our team is responsible for managing, controlling, and directing resources to accomplish scheduled and unscheduled organizational-level maintenance on MQ-1 and MQ-9 aircraft and associated equipment in an OCONUS environment.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance efforts on MQ-1 and MQ-9 aircraft, ensuring timely and efficient completion of maintenance tasks, and collaborating with the Shift Lead to manage resources. You will also be responsible for directing and assisting in the inspection, troubleshooting, and operations of deployed communications equipment. Your Responsibilities Will Include:

•Managing and controlling resources to accomplish scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks

•Directing and assisting in the inspection, troubleshooting, and operations of deployed communications equipment

•Scheduling satellite communications airtime and coordinating link activation with Department of Defense and civilian agencies

•Assembling, connecting, securing, and interconnecting components such as transmitters, power supplies, and antenna assemblies

•Monitoring and de-conflicting transmit/receive signals to ensure optimum performance

•Installing network technical solutions for real-time video dissemination via Remote Split Operations architecture

•Performing aircraft engine runs and weapons loading and unloading as needed

•Enforcing and adhering to technical data and management procedures

•Ensuring compliance with environmental directives and applicable environmental protection/compliance guidance

•Encouraging a work environment of zero accidents and injuries

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

At least four years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience

Ability to successful complete CONUS Recovery Center (CRC) for deployment

Have a valid US civilian Passport

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Desired Skills:

1 year MQ-1 and/or MQ-9 maintenance experience

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 7-Day Continuous Operator
