Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing facilities maintenance to a portfolio of Medical Office Buildings, such as outpatient centers or surgery centers, in the Indianapolis area. This position entails maintenance of HVAC systems, minor electrical and plumbing repairs, and performing monthly preventive maintenance.

  • HVAC system maintenance

  • Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment

  • Minor electrical repairs

  • Plumbing repairs

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems

  • Repair/replacement of facility lighting, ballast, switches, and receptacles

  • Generator load transfers

  • Preventive maintenance

  • Ordering materials and contractor services

Shift: M-F: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay: $25 - $35 per hour

Hard Skills

  • Fire alarm systems understanding

  • Fire system impairment for testing and construction

  • Water treatment understanding

  • Wet sprinkler systems knowledge

  • Building management systems adjustments

  • Basic hand tools usage

  • Multi meter troubleshooting

  • Commercial electrical systems understanding

Work Environment: The work environment is in a Medical Building setting, not a Hospital. For example: out patient centers or surgery centers. Individuals need to be open working in the environment. Rarely On Call issues unless it's extremely hot or extremely cold temps. This individual will drive their own vehicle directly to site. If they use their car during work hours to go to multiple locations they get mileage.
