Description We are in search of a Medicaid Billing Clerk to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in FORT WAYNE, Indiana. You will be primarily responsible for handling all aspects of billing, including the submission and review of billing data, credit and collections, and cash receipts. This role also includes assisting with month-end closings and serving as a backup for other department members. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the billing process for all business aspects

• Submit and review billing data with high accuracy

• Handle credit and collections with great attention to detail

• Manage cash receipts and ensure they are recorded accurately

• Assist in month-end closings to ensure timely financial reporting

• Answer customer inquiries promptly and professionally

• Analyze departmental billings to identify discrepancies or errors

• Serve as a backup for other team members in the department as needed

• Ensure compliance with all standards to guarantee the health and safety of all individuals

• Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation immediately in accordance with company policy. Requirements • Proficiency in Medicaid Billing procedures is a key requirement for this role.

• Familiarity with Medicaid Claim process is essential.

• Candidates must have a strong understanding and experience in Billing operations.

• Proficiency in using spreadsheet software is required for managing and analyzing data.

• Knowledge of and experience with Medicaid procedures is necessary.

• Candidates must have excellent attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and billing.

• Strong organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Candidates should possess good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

• Prior experience in a similar role within the Non-Profit sector will be considered an advantage.
