Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Fort Worth, Texas

Description

We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team in the construction and contracting industry at our Fort Worth, Texas location. This role presents a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will be responsible for various tasks including data entry, account reconciliation, and usage of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Handling and processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.

• Maintaining and updating customer credit records regularly.

• Addressing and resolving customer inquiries related to their accounts.

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary.

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel to read and copy data from cells accurately and in a timely manner.

• Learning to operate the customer's invoice software system (ACIS) and ERP system.

• Gaining a basic understanding of the payroll process

• Validating data to ensure consistency and accuracy.

• Conducting account reconciliation tasks as needed.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary for this role.

• The candidate should have strong data entry skills.

• The ability to perform account reconciliation is a must.

• Prior experience in a similar role within the construction or contractor industry is preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.

• The applicant should have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• The ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively is crucial.

• The candidate must have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

• A degree in Accounting or a related field is highly desirable.

• The applicant should be capable of working independently and as part of a team.

• The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is necessary.

• The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with accounting software will be an added advantage.

• The applicant should be able to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• The candidate should have a proactive approach and the ability to take initiative.

• The applicant must be reliable and have a high level of professional integrity.
